Foundation, Inc., the social arm of Philippine
Business Bank (PBB) chaired by no less than
renowned business tycoon Amb. Alfredo M.
Yao, of the Zest-O Group of Companies, recently
donated relief goods to the victims of Typhoon
Ondoy.
Recipients of these relief items were families
living in the surrounding areas of PBB branches
which suffered heavily from the wrath of
typhoon Ondoy. These included PBB branches
located in Cainta, Marikina, Paso de Blas
(Valenzuela), Malabon, Sta. Maria (Bulacan)
and Antipolo. The Foundation likewise distributed
bags of various relief goods to the DSWD
Chapter of Caloocan City through its head,
Mr. Jimmy de Castro and Brgy. Silangan in
Fairview, Quezon City. The Foundation’s
scholars enrolled in its two partner schools,
PUP and ICCT Colleges also received their
share of relief goods.
Outpouring support from PBB employees and
other concerned citizens extended their
participation in the Foundation’s
undertaking by donating cash, various goods
such as biscuits, sardines, coffee, water,
beverages, noodles and used clothings. Volunteers
from GK (Galing ng Kababaihan), an organization
whose members are female residents of Tambunting,
Sta Cruz, Manila who are actively involved
in various outreach programs as well as
employees of Philippine Business Bank devoted
their time in packing these aforementioned
items.
